The Municipality of Abu Dhabi City on Saturday announced launching a door-to-door service for the elderly and people with special needs.

Under the new initiative, according to the municipal department, senior citizens and people with special needs now do not need to visit municipality offices to seek services; instead officials will visit them with a mobile office whenever they need to carry out a transaction.

‘Now municipal services will be delivered to community segments at their homes through vehicles fitted for this purpose such that their transactions will be processed without obliging them to visit the premises of the Municipality or external municipal centres, thus saving much of their time and effort,’ the department announced.
