PAKISTAN: Computer classes for senior citizens include use of Skype

KARACHI, Pakistan / Senior Citizens Forum / May 2011

Senior Citizens Forum of Karachi has announced computer training classes for male and female seniors.

"They will be taught how to use computer which has become a part and parcel of our daily life," the Forum affirms. "Common need of seniors is to chat, email, browse websites, work with MS Word, Excel, Power Point."

"Apart from this, free telephone calls through SKYPE and others devices is a new phenomena which is very useful and exciting," the Forum's newsletter says. "This will make possible for seniors to chat with their dear ones who have settled abroad and provide good opportunity to be in touch with them."

Separate classes will be held for male and female seniors.
