NEPAL: Plans afoot to construct first hospital for senior citizens

KATHMANDU, Nepal / The Himalayan Times / December 25, 2011

A separate hospital for the senior citizens is to be built in the Capital for the first time in the country.

The Devighat Senior Citizens Care and Study Foundation is mulling to construct the hospital and it plans to lay the foundation stone of the hospital by the prime minister on April 13, 2012, according to RSS.

The Devighat Foundation formed in 2010 has been conducting a public campaign for garnering support in building a separate modern hospital for the elderly people.

In this connection, the Foundation plans to hold a Shreemad Bhagawat Saptah Gyan Mahayagna, a religious programme at Balaju in the capital January 21-28.
